DOM (Document Object Model) is important because it provides a structured representation of a web page that JavaScript and other scripts can interact with.

    The DOM allows developers to:

    • Access and modify HTML elements
    • Change content and styles dynamically
    • Respond to user interactions, such as clicks and form submissions
    • Create or remove elements
    • Build interactive web experiences
    • Update page content without fully reloading the page

For example, JavaScript can use the DOM to change a product’s displayed price, update a shopping cart, or show a message when a customer clicks a button.

In short, the DOM acts as the bridge between a web page’s HTML structure and JavaScript behavior, making dynamic and interactive websites possible.
