What should I check after migrating to Shopify?

  • 0
  • 0

After migration, check products, variants, collections, images, customer data, navigation, search, filters, checkout, payments, shipping, apps, tracking, analytics, mobile responsiveness and page performance. SEO checks should include redirects, metadata, canonical tags, indexing, sitemap behavior and important URLs.

After migrating to Shopify, thoroughly test your store to confirm that data, design, checkout, integrations, and SEO are working correctly before and after launch.

    Use this checklist:

    Post-migration checklist

    0 / 14 complete
Products: titles, descriptions, images, prices, SKUs, variants, and inventory
Collections: product assignments, sorting, filters, and navigation
Customers: account records, addresses, and login or account-access process
Orders: historical order data, statuses, totals, and customer associations
Website: homepage, pages, blogs, menus, links, and mobile responsiveness
Checkout: cart, discount codes, taxes, shipping rates, and payment methods
Integrations: ERP, CRM, analytics, email, inventory, shipping, and other apps
SEO: page titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, sitemap, and 301 redirects
Domains and security: primary domain, SSL certificate, and DNS configuration
Notifications: order confirmations, shipping updates, and customer emails
Performance: page speed, broken links, images, and Core Web Vitals
Analytics: tracking tags, conversion events, pixels, and reporting
Legal and policies: privacy policy, returns, shipping, terms, and contact details
Operations: test orders, fulfillment, refunds, cancellations, and staff permissions

Before switching your domain: Place test orders using different payment and shipping scenarios, check that redirects work, and verify that customers can complete the buying process on mobile and desktop.

After launch: Monitor orders, payment failures, traffic, search indexing, 404 errors, and integration logs. Keep your previous store and its data available until the new store has been validated and any launch issues are resolved.
