What is Shopify email forwarding?

Shopify email forwarding lets merchants create a custom email address using their store’s domain and automatically forward incoming messages to an existing personal or business email account.

For example, emails sent to support@yourstore.com can be forwarded to an existing Gmail or other mailbox.

It helps merchants:

• Use a professional, branded email address.
• Receive customer messages in an existing inbox.
• Avoid managing a separate email mailbox for the forwarded address.
• Create multiple forwarding addresses, depending on their domain setup.

Important: Email forwarding only forwards incoming messages. It does not provide a full email hosting service for sending and receiving mail from that custom address.
