What does “Committed” inventory mean?

“Committed” inventory is stock that has been allocated to existing orders but hasn’t been fulfilled yet.

For example, if a store has 100 units on hand and customers have ordered 20 units, those 20 units may be shown as committed, leaving 80 units available for new orders.

Committed inventory helps merchants understand how much stock is already reserved for customers and avoid overselling.
