Yes. Shopify POS can ship products to customers.
If a customer is shopping in a physical store but wants an item shipped to their home, staff can create a ship-to-customer order directly from Shopify POS. The order is processed through Shopify and can be fulfilled from the appropriate location.
This is useful when:
A product is out of stock at the store location
The customer prefers home delivery
Large or bulky items are easier to ship
The merchant wants to complete the sale without requiring the customer to purchase online later
Shopify POS can collect the customer’s shipping address, calculate shipping options (based on the store’s shipping settings), and send the order into Shopify’s fulfillment workflow. Inventory is updated accordingly, and the customer can receive shipping confirmations and tracking information through Shopify’s order system.
