Yes. Merchants can configure checkout to collect an email address as the customer’s contact method. However, “email-only” checkout doesn’t necessarily mean Shopify will collect no other information—shipping and payment details are still required when applicable to the order.
The available contact-method options depend on the store’s checkout and customer account settings.
