How do Shopify payouts work?

Shopify payouts are the funds Shopify Payments transfers to a merchant’s bank account after customer payments have been processed.

The process generally works like this:

1. Customer pays for an order using Shopify Payments.
2. Shopify processes and captures the payment.
3. Applicable fees, refunds, or adjustments are accounted for.
4. The remaining funds are included in the merchant’s payout.
5. Shopify sends the payout to the merchant’s registered bank account according to the payout schedule.

Merchants can view payouts, transaction details, and payout status in the Shopify admin. Payout timing and available currencies vary by country and Shopify Payments eligibility.
